Dear Friend, This fall I will be walking to prevent suicide in the Out of the Darkness Columbia-Greene Walk. I've set a fundraising goal of $3,000 and am writing today to ask for your support. I am joining hundreds of thousands of people across the country who are walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks to prevent suicide and support AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. This year I walk in memory of both my son, Billy Earley and my friend, Emily Warrington. Billy died by suicide already five years ago while Emily died by suicide just this year. Both were in the prime of their lives, Billy just thirty and Emily in her mid-forties. While the message is growing, that caring for your mental health is important and that you are not alone and to call 988, we just need to continue with the education, starting with our youngsters. Could you help me to help make this happen? Thank you for your generous support! Your donation will help the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation click the "Donate" link in this email and then click the "Donate" button on my fundraising page. If you would rather donate by check please make the check payable to AFSP and mail it in with the offline donation form. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible. Thank you for your support. Sincerely, Linda Tripp |
